This hoodie was a bright spot of last week.

Hello from underneath a towering pile of spring concerts, swim meets, birthday parties, open houses, orthodontist appointments, recitals, end of year picnics, book edits and….laundry. Always so much damn laundry.

In case your May is as chaotic as mine and you feel like you’re the only one who’s clinging to any sense of order in your life, here are a few things that happened in the last week:

I woke up all three kids early to get them to my daughter’s orthodontist appointment at 7am. The appointment was to check her retainer…and we didn’t bring her retainer. Awesome. We celebrated my oversight with breakfast treats at Starbucks.

Next up, I took my daughter to her 6:30pm swim practice only to realize…she didn’t have swim practice that day.

And finally, I completely forgot my daughter’s rehearsal for her dance recital. And by completely forgot, I mean I didn’t even realize it was happening until I saw the email an hour after it ended.
