Hi, hello, happy Sunday! We’re heading to the Northwoods today to visit my mom so we can incorporate grandma camp into mom camp. Strength in numbers, right?

I’m excited to show my kids Noah’s Ark (American’s Largest Waterpark, IYKYK). I worked there in college during summers and wow, what a party. I can’t tell you the certain misery of lifeguarding a wave pool while hungover. 🤢 Excited to make new memories with my people.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

READING: Pretty much everything and anything about the Lindsay Clancy trial. This post is very interesting. I’ll have some time next week to collect my thoughts and put them into a post.

WATCHING: Alright, I’ve seen some reviews that the new Ted Lasso season isn’t great (like this one), but I really don’t care and you can’t make me stop loving the most lovable character on TV.

PUZZLING: My bestie sister Katy got me this amazing Gray Malin puzzle for my birthday and of course I couldn’t wait to see it come together. So chic, I kind of want to frame it. 🤩

It’s the last day of The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! (Yes, it’s been going on for like 4 years.) Some of my favorites are still in stock, and I’ve found a few new pieces, too.

  • My girls love these pajamas.

  • Another great find for the girls for back to school.

  • My all time favorite fragrance. I LOVE this trio.

  • Barefoot Dreams sent me this blanket and everyone in my family keeps stealing it from me. (I think I need another one, no?)

  • The cleansing balm I’ve been using for years. Nothing compares.

ON THE SOBER MOM LIFE PODCAST: Real Sober Mom Gina shared her story of not waiting for rock bottom to quit drinking, and what happened when she finally quit white-knuckling sobriety.

THE SOBER SUMMER SERIES: The dog days of summer are here, and you might be bored. Good.

I’ll RUIN ALCOHOL FOR YOU: Alcohol is ruining your skin. Here’s how.

"I've been sober over a year and I love my life. I don't want to drink. But I still think about alcohol more than I'd like to admit, When I have a hard day or see a glass of wine on a TV show, there's still that little voice. It makes me feel like a fraud! I mean, if I'm this happy sober, why am I still thinking about alcohol?" — L.

You ask, I answer. Comment or reply to this email. I’ll choose one to answer next week. The rest of my answer to this week’s reader question is for paid subscribers.
